Fly Robin!

The idea was to make a Monarch Butterfly. I took a very nice picture once walking around Sugar Loaf and wanted to use it as my inspiration. During the design/drawing process, the hardest part for me, I was never satisfied because it felt like being Monarch Butterflies so pretty, I was never going to do them justice. I removed all the work done, and started this one cutting all the circles by hand. . Once glued, the challenge was what to do next. I decided to continue with the circles, this time making them smaller according to the width of section on the wings. I simply adored the results. It took me six months to make it, including a couple of months trying to figure out the design and, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (all good now).
