Mixed media mosaic on acoustic guitar created as a tribute to Jimmy Buffett. Both as a statement of the void that his passing has left in the heart of a Parrothead, as well as the joy that his music has brought me over a lifetime. Jimmy's music has transported me around the world, made me laugh and made me cry. His songs gave me a glimpse of the Caribbean before I could experience it for myself and can bring Summer to the coldest Winter day. His shows are a long-standing tradition I will sorely miss, but the state of mind he can invoke will live on. This piece pulled from every corner of my studio and skill-set incorporating Mosaic, Metal Embossing, Collage, Sewing and even a little creative engineering!
